Monica's experience extends to all aspects of legislative initiatives, policy development, nonprofit programs, and grassroots advocacy with a proven track record of managing legislative and grassroots campaigns, as well as voter empowerment and civic engagement programs. She is a skilled coalition builder, working to cultivate meaningful policy reforms through coalition building and grassroots mobilization. She has served as a strategic advisor to state organizations regarding their state legislative priorities.

With subject matter expertise in criminal justice, voting rights, racial bias, and systemic inequities, Monica has coordinated community education events (both in-person and virtual), webinars, and trainings pertaining to a host of issues related to criminal justice reform, voting rights, racial bias, and systemic inequities. She has organized conferences on a national scale, bringing together advocates from around the country to discuss pertinent issues. She has helped to coordinate and execute lobby days. Additionally, with subject matter expertise in the aforementioned areas, she has also provided expert commentary and participated in speaking engagements.
